Scripture: Hebrews 11:11-14

In Hebrews 11:11-14 we are told, “By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland.”  Abraham and Sarah were willing to lay their lives down so future generations could enjoy covenant blessing.  They did.  They used their faith on their flesh, they left their home to wander about looking for a home and a country and city whose builder and maker was God.  They found that city.  They built those promises.  They walked it out so future generations could know God.  It almost appears that we are in a season like that now.  If those in the baby boom generation will catch what God wants to do in the church and birth it, then the next generation will have what they need to populate the new Jerusalem with Living Stones.  God has a hammer.  Ask Him to use it!
