Scripture: Exodus 2:23-25

These verses state, “Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them.”  There are three steps to this process that we need to understand.  Number one, the bondage caused a groan or an outcry.  They cried out.  Finally today’s church is beginning to cry out under the extreme bondage of oppressive dictatorial government.  God has a hearing ear and He remembers His covenant.  When He remembers His covenant and He acknowledges our outcry, look out!  The same God who knows how to deal with the enemies of His people, the One that showed up in Egypt, can show up in America.  The same God who showed up for the early church when Herod was in the governmental “white house”, can show up today for the Herod that is in our White House.
