Scripture: Revelation 1:1-6

Verse 5 says, “…and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the First-born from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our own sins in His own blood,…” Verse 6 says, “and has made us Kings and Priests unto His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” The responsibility of being a King is to bring justice through God’s dominion. The extension of God’s dominion in a situation to bring justice is both the call and purpose of being a King. This concept is so structurally important that God made it an office in the Bible. Men were called and anointed to sit in the office of King. Jesus occupies this office and beckons believers to judge and war with Him. Every Christian can be an agent of justice if we accept the call! Will we occupy this office with Jesus? To do anything less is to shirk the duty of our calling!
