Scripture: Ephesians 4:11-13, Revelation 3:7,8

Ephesians 4:11-13 assigns the task of achieving “fullness of Christ” for every believer to the five-fold ministry. As an occupant of one of those five offices, I am profoundly ashamed of the pitiful job my generation has achieved in this assignment. If we had been successful, the keys would be fully operational and those responsible for destroying the land would be occupying cemetery plots. We are told in Revelation 3:7,8 that Jesus has another key. That is the key of David. And with the key of David we can open so that no one can shut and we can shut so that no one can open. Now the question is, “Is this key available to us?” If all the keys are available then we should find examples of David asking God to take His enemies straight to death and hell. David prayed in Psalm 55:15, “Let death seize them; Let them go down alive into hell. For wickedness is in their dwellings and among them.” Shortly after this prayer, Ahithophel hanged himself! David was delivered. The kingdom was restored. Keys work! The New Covenant is a better covenant meaning the keys should work better for us!
