Scripture: 1 John 2:18-23

Verse 18 says, “Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.” 1 John is a very important book because its author also penned the book of Revelation. And it is obvious from 1 John that the antichrist was a spirit that could be identified in those who dramatically opposed the Kingdom. If the spirit of antichrist that we find in Revelation has its major manifestation in multiple people who yield to that spirit, then we need to rethink the single entity world domination view. And we certainly need to keep in mind the fact that Jesus’ dominion does not decrease. Many believers view our dominion decreasing to zero during the three plus years of his rule. If the two witnesses are the believing church as Jack Hayford suggests in the footnote to Revelation 11:3-6 in the Spirit-filled Bible”, then we definitely need to reconsider our end-time view. The two witnesses redefine overcoming with the manifestation of a Kingly anointing.
