SUNDAY, JULY 10
Scripture: Acts 13:12,13

Acts 13:12,13 state, “Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had been done, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord. Now when Paul and his party set sail from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia; and John, departing from them, returned to Jerusalem.” We have a whole culture of Christians searching for the glory of the Lord. Only their definition of the glory of the Lord is Jesus coming to heal, coming to deliver and coming to bless. It certainly seems to me that the glory of the Lord is manifested in front of this unbelieving politician as the judgment of God falls on the false prophet. Should we not be seeing this on Islam in America today? Every Islamic Mosque is full of false prophecy. Every Islamic leader should be blind in the presence of the church. Where is the glory of the Lord in this dimension toady? The truth is, we have a church that is nicer than God. We do not represent the judicial Christ the early church did. Or the Christ that Paul did, or the Christ that Peter did. What happened to us? We accepted a doctrine that, in effect, neutered the church. It is time we recovered the glory of the Lord, bought and paid for at the crucifixion!
