SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10
Scripture: Matthew 3:1-6

How serious is God about fire in the New Testament?  When John the Baptist came to prepare the way, he had two distinct messages.  The first message came to those who were obedient.  The obedient did what he said and were baptized for the remission of their sins.  We have those same two groups today.  The obedient and the ones who want to war against us because they think they can keep their disobedience.  Verses 1-6 are a perfect example of khris-tos in action.  We have been khris-tos for so long, it is time we balanced out with koo-ree-os.  The Judicial Christ wants to deal with the opposition by fire.
