SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5
Scripture: 2 Kings 6:13-17

When Elisha was surrounded by an army, his servant became fearful. Things were not as they appeared! The reality was that there were more angels available in their behalf than with the enemy. Elisha prayed again and the Lord opened the servant’s eyes and we are told in verses 16, 17, “So he answered, ‘Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’ And Elisha prayed, and said, ‘LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.’ Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” Elisha, by faith, tapped into the heavenly support team that was available to him by covenant. We now have a better covenant based on better promises. But if we never develop our faith in the Kingly judicial side of Christ, we will never ask for this kind of angelic intervention. How sad to have forfeited victories God would have given us because we were not willing to ask the judicial Christ to judge and war in our behalf.
