FRIDAY, MARCH 16
Scripture: Mark 10:38,39

In Mark 10:38, Jesus asked a very penetrating question, “You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” It is obvious from this verse that every calling has a preparational price that goes with the qualification for that gifting and calling. When Joseph placed his cup in the sack to be found, even though he did it unjustly, his question goes back to what his older brothers did to him. “Why have you repaid evil for good?” Was Jesus saying, “Do you have any idea the depth of evil you are going to have to overcome to be able to qualify for that calling you seek?” The chief issue of Joseph’s life was, could he overcome the evil associated with his call? Can we?
