FRIDAY, MARCH 30
Scripture: Luke 24:13-32

The final baptism of fire is the fire of judgment and destruction. In Luke 24:13-32, the baptism of fire and judgment brought Jesus to the death on the cross. But when He was resurrected, He came forth with the fullness of authority and the keys to death, hell and the grave. The last and final fire is the one that transports us through flesh and into the Spirit because we have to follow Christ’s footsteps in Hebrews 10:19-22. Jesus paved the way, Peter and Paul had to follow. Can we follow? It was probably the reason why Jesus asked James and John if they could undergo the baptisms He had to go though and whether they could endure it. When they said yes, He said, “OK, you will.” When the seven baptisms are complete, we can resurrect or terminate as needed by the Spirit without fear.
