Scripture: Numbers 16:19-24

We are told in Numbers 16:19-24, “And Korah gathered all the congregation against them at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. Then the glory of the Lord appeared to all the congregation. And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, ‘Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.’ Then they fell on their faces, and said, ‘O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and You be angry with all the congregation?’ So the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Speak to the congregation, saying, “Get away from the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.”’” Moses prayed judicially and God answered him in the affirmative. We need to understand that mercy, mercy, mercy, “turn-the-other-cheek” prayers in this situation enable evil! They are not appropriate and they bring no deliverance! What is called for is the Judicial Christ to come on the scene to demonstrate His covenantal justice by removing the perpetrators. Nothing else makes the statement that establishes the fear of God. The church has mercied people so long that the government actually believes they can dictate what the church is supposed to believe. That arrogance has to be answered with Throne-Room justice. Only interventions like the one Moses prayed make the statement that needs to be made in hours like this. Let God arise and His enemies be scattered!
