Scripture: Luke 22:35,36

In Luke 22:35,36, Jesus announced His own transition from the Priestly to the Kingly. It says, “And He said to them, ‘When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?’ So they said, ‘Nothing.’ Then He said to them, ‘But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one.’” For the first time, Jesus made it clear that His disciples needed to buy a sword more than they needed a garment. He even said, “Sell you garment and buy a sword.” Now that is the Jesus that we have not brought to the church. Jesus marked His own transition to the Kingly ministry and let every one of them know that they were going to have to transition with Him. He was making available a spiritual sword and access to the Kingly justice from the very Throne. Once He ascended and took His seat there, it would be fully available to them. It is now fully available to us when we need it the most. And for the most part, the church does not realize it is there. It is time to walk with the King. It is time to act like a King. Our harvest depends on it.
