Scripture: Matthew 10:23-28

Matthew 10:28 says, “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” We represent a God who will intervene in our behalf, if He has to, in order to spare our call. He did it for Peter, He did it for Jesus, He did it for David – there is hardly anyone in the Bible He did not do it for. That brings us to misplaced fear. The issue of misplaced fear is what man can do to us. Jesus made it very clear that we are not to fear those who kill the body. The One we are to fear kills twice. When God intervenes to remove people like Herod, He kills twice. That is the God we represent and we need to know Him, because to save nations, we need lots of interventions!
