August 2012 Outcry

As I have been praying about America, the Lord gives me occasional encouraging words about trusting Him for the nation!  Isaiah 3 has one of those amazing encouraging words for the church but it only comes after unfolding devastation for serial rebellion!  Isaiah 3:1 says, “For behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, Takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah The stock and the store, The whole supply of bread and the whole supply of water;…” Record drought in the last two years in the Midwest and the South are adversely impacting our food supply, making this passage a now word!

God says He will “take away” leaders in key areas, making the nation vulnerable.  Verses 2,3 state, “The mighty man and the man of war, The judge and the prophet, And the diviner and the elder; The captain of fifty and the honorable man, The counselor and the skillful artisan, And the expert enchanter.”  When the president opened the military to homosexuality, I was told every pilot of Air Force One put in for a transfer.  Verses 4,5 add, “’I will give children to be their princes, And babes shall rule over them. The people will be oppressed, Every one by another and every one by his neighbor; The child will be insolent toward the elder, And the base toward the honorable.’”  Inexperienced people are in the process of making very costly bad decisions, adversely impacting the nation.

Verses 8,9 state, “For Jerusalem stumbled, And Judah is fallen, Because their tongue and their doings Are against the Lord, To provoke the eyes of His glory. The look on their countenance witnesses against them, And they declare their sin as Sodom; They do not hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought evil upon themselves.”  America’s policies and politicians deserve the judgment of God, but so did all of us before we met Jesus!  Those who reject Jesus will eat the fruit.

Verse 10 shouts encouragement to the church, “Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” While the wicked eat the fruit of their doings, the righteous eat the fruit of theirs in blessing, protection and provision.  It shall be well is a dramatic statement that deserves a wall plaque where we see it every day and declare it daily – may it be well with you!  The Lord said to declare prophetically to the righteous: “It shall be well with you!”  In Jesus name, I declare, it shall be well with you.  May God’s cloud of protection hover over the righteous!
