SATURDAY, AUGUST 25
Scripture: Ephesians 5:1

Ephesians 5:1 says, “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.” “Imitators” or “followers” is from the Greek word mim-ma-tace and it simply means ‘to mimic, act like, or reproduce as a mirror.’ We are supposed to reflect the Living God who dwells on the inside of us. We can only reflect the layers up to the layer established in us. For most of us that will be evangelistic and pastoral. Are we confident in reflecting the fullness of who Christ is whether meeting a Samaritan woman drawing water at a well or an Ananias and Sapphira who move in deceit? If we have been introduced to and taught all the layers of God’s love, then we will be able to perfectly reflect Him, any place, any time and any where. That is the call. Are we moving in that direction?
