FRIDAY, DECEMBER 14
Scripture: James 4:7

James 4:7 says, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” Jesus said “Do not anth-his-tay-mee,” when He was preparing the Twelve for evangelism. James says “Do anth-his-tay-mee,” any time the enemy comes against you. But the key in James is to do it after you have submitted to God. Because only then will we be able to stand in the fire we have to call down. In the last days, there are fewer places where we do not resist. Most often it is when planting evangelistic seed that we should not resist. Most other situations call for resistance of one kind or another. By emphasizing primarily evangelistic love, the enemy has crippled the church. The church should be praying as David prayed!
