SUNDAY, DECEMBER 29
Scripture: Luke 22:61,62

In verses 61,62 we are told, “And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, ‘Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.’ So Peter went out and wept bitterly.” After Peter denied Jesus three times, suddenly the rooster crowed and Peter remembered the word that Jesus spoke. Scripture said he went out and wept bitterly. We are seeing Peter in bitter repentance because he realized he had utterly, completely and totally failed the Lord. Now his restoration had to follow. Repentance is always honored by God. Will God honor ours? He honored Peter’s so why would He not honor ours? Of course He will and we must accept and embrace that. We have to know it so we can find ourselves with the Judgment Seat of Christ established at our feet.
