February 2014 Outcry

The key to praying judicially is having God’s Heart in what we pray. Psalm 12 is God’s assessment of the state of the union!

Verses 1,2 accurately declare the condition of our ruling politicians, sometimes on both sides of the isle, “Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men. They speak idly everyone with his neighbor; With flattering lips and a double heart they speak.”

The outcry of the remnant is verse 3,4, “May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, And the tongue that speaks proud things, Who have said, ‘With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; Who is lord over us?’” As we pray verses 3,4, we expect God to perform these verses against every politician who qualifies! Pray them!

We declare verse 5 as God’s will for His people and His answer to the destruction of our current government! When government destroys millions of jobs by misguided policy, they oppress the poor! Verse 5 states, “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the Lord; ‘I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.’” Yes, Amen!

God promises to do verses 6-8, “The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times. You shall keep them, O Lord, You shall preserve them from this generation forever. The wicked prowl on every side, When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.” Wickedness has multiplied beyond previous generations because sin is now government policy! Our leaders have crossed a biblical boundary. They now call good evil and evil good! Russia is now more righteous than America!

Let us prayerfully agree and declare, “May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, And the tongue that speaks proud things, Who have said, ‘With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; Who is lord over us?’” Jesus is Lord and He demonstrates it by cutting off wicked rulers! Let’s rise up and pray!
