Scripture: Psalm 55:15

It is obvious that David is not going to pray verse 15 just once. He is going to pray it over and over and over and over and over and over until it manifested! That is quite clear. At the turn of the last century there was a young Baptist preacher named Mordecai Ham. Mordecai Ham was destined to be one of the great evangelists of his time. He would win one of the next greatest evangelists to the Lord. That convert was Billy Graham! Mordecai Ham knew both the Priestly and the Kingly Christ. When a group of thugs came to harass and throw rocks at people who were attending one of his camp meetings and to steal their saddles and bridles, Mordecai Ham went out and confronted the ring leader. The ring leader pulled a knife on him. Mordecai said, “Why are you pulling a knife on me? Anyone who pulls a knife on an unarmed man is a coward. Now I am going to pray that God will either save you and your crowd or kill you!” The thug said, “Pray what you damn well please.” And he stomped off. The next morning the thug was dying and his family sent for Mordecai in order to pray for him. Ham went but the man died before he got there. A few hours later the saw mill blew up and three others of the crowd were dead. By the time of the evening meeting there were four dead. Ham announced publicly said that anyone who had stolen saddles or bridles or anything else from this group needed to return them or God was going to kill more people. The next night they took inventory of the returned items and discovered that there was one saddle still missing. Ham said, “I am going to pray as there is one saddle missing.” A man jumped up and said, “Don’t pray, don’t pray. It will be here in just a few minutes.” And it was! Mordecai Ham understood the Kingly Christ. He understood Psalm 110 prayers. He understood Psalm 55 prayers. He prayed them and God answered. Is there any difference between a Baptist man 100 years ago and a preacher or a believer today. This story demonstrates the difference! If we are going to win our harvest field like Mordecai Ham won his, we need to get to know the Jesus of the New Testament whose judicial prayers are in the Psalms! Let’s pray Psalm 110! Let’s be open to Holy Spirit counsel to pray and declare Psalm 110!
