Scripture: Jude 3-5

Jude 3-5 says, “Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.” Do we know the Jesus of Jude Who writes to us about a common salvation and says, “You must contend earnestly for the faith.”? Certain men have crept into the church unnoticed and are turning the grace of God into licentiousness so that the church is denying the Lord by their actions. If saints believe that in the New Testament, there is no more judgment, we must simply open our Bibles and carefully read and study the whole counsel of God. Even compromised theology claiming the Old Testament is obsolete cannot ignore Jude’s reference to it in verse 5. If saints are intent on claiming there is no more judgment, they have been taught corrupted theology, and have either not fully read the Word or have failed to let the Spirit lead them into truth. Jude 5 says that there is judgment, it will come and it might rest on their heads. Do we know Jesus the Judge of Jude. It is clear! It is simple and it is straight. Do we know this Jesus?
