Scripture: Hebrews 4:8-13

Hebrews 4:8-13 says, “For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” What we learn from this passage is, God’s Word is unique. There is nothing else quite like the Bible because God’s Word is alive, it is powerful, it is sharper than a two-edged sword, it divides between soul and spirit and discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart. God’s Word is living, and it is living because it was endued with Life by the Holy Spirit who authored it. God’s Word is very, very unique. It is different than any other book that has ever been written because it is full of Life. The question is, will we use what God has given?
