Scripture: Genesis 6:6,7

Man did not do very well in the first few years of his creation as Genesis 6:6,7 tells us. It says, “And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said, ‘I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.’” Death and life are in the power of the tongue and here comes death. And in this instance it is not one or two people, but practically the whole creation. So when Proverbs says death and life are in the power of the tongue, we can see exactly what that means in the repercussions of not renewing our minds so we learn how to walk with God and develop and use what He has given us. The words we speak bring life or death. And that means we have to change how we think so we can agree with God and speak what brings life!
