FRIDAY, APRIL 29
Scripture: 2 Samuel 7:18-25, Isaiah 9:7, Acts 13:32-34

After getting this covenant, King David sat before the Lord and marveled that God had made such a covenant with him. Then in his amazement he prayed and said, “Now, O Lord God, the word which You have spoken concerning Your servant and concerning his house, establish it forever and do as You have said.” He exhorted God to do as He had said and God did. David became the greatest king of Israel and under him the land reached its greatest pinnacle of influence. And He established the Throne upon which Jesus sits (Isaiah 9:7). We should look like King David in the last days. We have the same covenant according to Acts 13:32-34. The question is, will we embrace and use it? God is a Covenant-Maker and a Covenant-Keeper – He never breaks covenant. As David declared God’s promises and called upon God to establish what He had promised so can we actively declare God’s promises in our own lives.
