Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:10

Verse 10 continues “…to another discerning of spirits…” Discerning of spirits came on Jesus continually when He would run into somebody who had a problem or needed deliverance. Discerning of spirits is when God reveals to us what the spirit world looks like in a situation or the true cause of a problem that has demonic origins. Discerning of spirits is a tremendous blessing because it enables us to speak specifically to the spiritual realm and command spirits to stop harassing people and be removed from their life, never to return. Discerning of spirits is absolutely essential in establishing the Kingdom of God in the lives of people. Pray, ‘Lord, You promised discerning of spirits. You said we could see what the enemy was doing and that You would reveal it, make it clear and show it to us. So Lord, in Jesus’ name, we ask You for the discerning of spirits. Father, alert us whenever we are even approaching a battle. We know that You gave discerning of spirits to help and protect Your people. So we thank You for it and we receive it now, in Jesus’ name.’
