Scripture: Hebrews 11:17-19

Verses 17-19 says, “By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, ‘In Isaac your seed shall be called,’ concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.” Abraham trusted God that God would resurrect his son and as it turned out, Abraham did not have to kill him. By faith, when we are tested, we will rise to the occasion and obey what God calls us to do. And as a result, we will see the harvest that God intended. Hebrews 11 shows us how to walk by faith, how to apply it and how to use it. And walking by faith usually means we have to use it on our own will, on our own preferences, on our own fears, on our own flesh just to obey God. But that is how you get into Hebrews 11 – Faith’s Hall of Fame.
