Scripture: Psalm 2:10-12

Verses 10-12 state, “Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” King David warned his enemies against their rebellion. Are we warning leaders and politicians today? The Apostle Paul warned people in the early church like David did. But if we do not know the Judicial Christ that David knew, any warnings we issue will hold little weight. Fear of God is an inevitable result of clear, judicial action, and without that action warnings seem like empty threats. The first, crucial step is preparing the foundation necessary for praying judicially. But when we do, we can pray and see God’s Hand move. When that happens, we have what we need to issue the warnings David did and let the fear of God fall. The Holy Spirit’s leading should be the launching point of every judicial prayer.
