SATURDAY, APRIL 1
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 14:1-2

1 Corinthians 14:1-2 says, “Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.” The Greek word translated “mysteries” is moos-tay-ree-on. When we speak to God we are praying the mysteries of the alternate, higher reality of the realm of the which includes both Christlikeness and all the different levels of God’s power. When we are not exactly certain what a situation demands or what it is going to take to overcome it, praying in the Spirit brings us face to face with the level of God’s power that is needed! Since there are multiple levels of God’s power, praying in the Spirit is God’s path to the wisdom necessary to apply what is specifically needed for every situation we face.
