Scripture: Luke 1:49-53

Luke 1:49-53 says, “For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name. And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly. He filled the hungry with good things, And the rich He has sent away empty. He has helped His servant Israel, IN remembrance of His mercy.” God is declaring through Mary a complete transfer. He is talking about a season of divine inversion where those who have the wealth lose it and those saints who are walking in obedience and humility gain it for His purpose of salvation and harvest. This is the fruit of the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. When we read statements like this we need to understand that this is Who Christ is and this is what Christ does. He has a purpose for His people and this is one key issue on His heart. He does it through His power in empowering His people to gain His purpose. And how does He do that? Praying in tongues will give us clarity of God’s timing and of God’s appropriate declarations.
