Scripture: Matthew 6:10

As the Lord’s Prayer goes on to say in Matthew 6:10, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” The second primary characteristic of sons and daughters seen here is they are serious about building God’s Kingdom within! There is a recognition that the prophetic promise of rebuilding the temple is a promise manifested in the church as Jesus said in Luke 17:21, “…‘The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, “See here!” or “See there!” For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.’” We are to look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are not seen. There is an awareness that our Father has set eternity in our hearts. And in our hearts is precisely where we are to build. The Word and prayer are the primary building blocks of the Kingdom. We should dedicate serious, consistent time to studying and memorizing God’s Word. We pray in the Spirit consistently because we know this is one of the surest ways of building the eternal spiritual house! Stability comes from doing God’s Word!
