October 2008 Outcry

How would you feel if America resembled California?

Barack Obama has promised to do nationally for the homosexual agenda what Arnold Schwarzenegger has done in California.  On October 13, 2007 the Governor banned the use of “Mom and Dad” in California textbooks.  He made it legal for kids who were born boys to use girls restrooms if they were feeling like girls on any given day in a public school.  California schools are now poised to become indoctrination labs for homosexual desires.  Seven days later wildfires hit Southern California – 1500 homes were destroyed, 265,000 people evacuated and one billion dollars went up in smoke.  On May 15, 2008 the California Supreme Court nullified the will of the people and ordered homosexual marriage.  In June a freak unprecedented, long-lasting lightening storm erupted.  Ultimately over 1700 fires broke out in Central California and burned thousands of acres.  Sin of this magnitude has a horrible price beyond computation.

To think that Jesus is not judging today is to utterly miss all that is happening in the shaking of the nation’s economy.  When the stock market drops 777 points, then God is speaking quite loudly about His hand upon the nation for a reckoning.  2 Peter 2:4-14 states clearly what we face.

For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed with the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds) – then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority.  They are presumptuous, self-willed; they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.  But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime.  They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you, having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, beguiling unstable souls.  They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children.

God has always had an answer for a baptism in filth and perversion when it comes.  Isaiah 59:15-21 advances such an answer, “So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.  Then the LORD saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no justice.  He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him.  For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak.  According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, Fury to His adversaries, Recompense to His enemies; The coastlands He will fully repay.  So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.  ‘The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,’ Says the LORD. ‘As for Me,’ says the LORD, ‘this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,’ says the  LORD, ‘from this time and forevermore.’” God has always promised to intervene by His Spirit and empower His people.  God heard an outcry that moved Him to judge and destroy the enemy by fire in Sodom and Gomorrah, to judge and destroy the enemy by water with the Egyptian Army and to judge and destroy Herod by an angelic visit.  If God hears our outcry today, He may add earthquakes to the arsenal.  It is my distinct personal opinion that if Obama is elected expect nothing less than a 7.0 because  America will resemble California.

Twenty two years ago, the Lord spoke audibly saying “Prepare My people for persecution.” The fruit of that command brought an understanding of “Fullness of iniquity” where extended seasons of adversity bring an increasing weight upon a region, a city or an individual until judgment falls.  In the latter stages of a nation filling the cup of iniquity, abominable leaders rise to persecute God’s people.  The result is access to justice on demand where God arises in behalf of His people to remove the enemy.  The wind of severe  persecution is looking highly probable.  Possessing justice on demand is essential to survival.  Moses, David, Hezekiah and the early church prayed and all gained the same end – covenantal deliverance as God judged their enemies!  We should expect no less!
