February 2010 Outcry

John 8:30-32 states, “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’”  Jesus came to testify of truth from God’s perspective.  Any deviation from God’s perspective takes people into devastation and destruction.  God’s truth is often not popular.  Amos 3:6b records the truth of how God relates to the covenant nation Israel after they choose unrighteousness as a lifestyle.  If America has a parallel relationship to God through the New Testament as Israel had to God through the Old Testament, then this same verse applies to America today:  If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it?

The earthquake in Haiti has revealed that no one in the media can stomach the idea that God judges evil.  Does the New Testament support Amos’ assertion of God’s authorship of calamity in a city?  Matthew 27:50-51 records the events upon the completion of Jesus’ crucifixion, “And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.  Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split…”

On 9/11 in the year 2000, New York City was devastated by a terrorist attack.  Both the world and much of the church say God was not involved.  Did Amos lie?  Is the Bible wrong? What was God’s message?  Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans.  What was God’s message to New Orleans?  After every devastation, the media elites discourage any man of God from making the observation that God was sending a message such as – ‘Repent for the cup of iniquity is filling!  And when it is full, judgment comes!’

Why would antichrist leaders refuse to acknowledge God in devastation?  They have a very specific reason.  They want to continue their perverse agenda without any fear of God’s opposition.  The church utterly fails to represent Jesus if we don’t educate the church in God’s judgment of evil.  The early church understood God as their ally in combating evil.  They believed they could pray, invoke covenant and move God’s hand for judgment.  They understood Jesus did not come to do away with the law or prophets but to fulfill.  Many preach today as if the law no longer exists…  But the stupidity and inaccuracy of that emerges in Revelation 2-3, where Jesus, the resurrected ascended Christ, judges the church based on violating the law!  Both idolatry and adultery are severely judged in Revelation 2 and 3!

If we cannot move the hand of God in judgment on the chief perpetrators of evil in our land, whether organizations or individuals, then we fail to be a salty church.  Organizations like the ACLU, Planned Parent-hood and people united for the separation of church and state all attempt to deprive Christians of their liberty.  Therefore our covenant judicial prayer should be, “Let the God of heaven silence them forever – as they intend to silence the church!”  Let every attorney who champions homosexual marriage see their children eaten up with this perversion until they have no seed left! 2 Kings 1:9-15 reveals this principle used against a perverse political rules!

In the Word, when a political king championed evil and threatened church governments, representatives moved His hand to judge evil to restore the fear of the Lord!  Righteous rulers brought judgment to the evil and enforced God’s law.   When they did, the perpetrators’ unrighteous decree was deposited on their own heads – times two!  God brought their sin back on them, only doubled.  For every perverse command to bow, God brought double on the representative carrying the message….until the messenger bowed to God.  The real issue is – will America’s arrogant radical politicians bow or burn?  Use it or lose it!
