Scripture: Ephesians 4:11-13,15,18  Ephesians 6:10,12

When it comes to the issue of fullness, is fullness the theme of the book of Ephesians?  In Ephesians 1:23 Paul prays, “…which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” In Ephesians 2:22 he says we are created “…for a habitation of God in the Spirit.”  In 3:19 we are told we should “…know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that [we] may be filled with all the fullness of God.”  In Ephesians 4:13 the fivefold ministry has the job of bringing us to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.  In Ephesians 5:15 we are told not to be drunk with wine but to be filled with the Spirit.  And in Ephesians 6 we are given the whole armor of God: the fullness of His protection.  Is it any wonder that the book of Ephesians has one goal in mind – to bring the church into the fullness of Christ?  Walking in the fullness of Christ means that we are bringing the full measure of His justice everywhere we go!  Anything less loses the land!
