Scripture: Exodus 14:28-31

When the people cried out, God not only stopped the enemy and separated him, He opened a way through the sea.  They had to use their faith on their flesh to walk through it.  There was a wall of water on each side.  But they did.  Once they were through, God removed the barrier and the Egyptians came after them.  The problem is, the sea returned and then they got to see and walk through dead bodies on the seashore.  The Israelites saw the dead bodies and knew the strength of their covenant.  Do we know the strength of our covenant today?  It is pretty obvious that the majority of the church does not, based on hearing them pray.  When we pray, “God, bless the enemy”, we can be enabling evil.  We should not be aiding and abetting the destruction of our harvest field!  Such people qualify to hear: “…Depart from me you workers of iniquity, I never knew you!”  That is the power of religious tradition.  It can destroy the very thing God wants to preserve.
