Scripture: Jeremiah 26:1-8

The Lord told Jeremiah in a very transitional season, much like the one we seem to be in right now, “Do not diminish a word.” It was absolutely imperative in that season that Jeremiah not compromise a single word. The question is, do we have a church that is living according to that standard right now? Or do we have one that is compromising the Word? Only by not compromising the Word can we prepare the church for what is ahead. When leaders choose ignore issues for fear of offending givers then they are among those who diminish the Word. Serving into that altar connects us to compromise!
