SATURDAY, JUNE 18
Scripture: Revelation 19:20-21

Verses 20 and 21 state, “Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded out of the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.” As we are following the sword and its action through Scripture, we cannot help but notice how it is used to bring God’s ultimate justice. We note that our biggest adversary is, in fact, deception, that the enemy is first and foremost a deceiver and he works his will through deception. He even gives false counterfeit signs and wonders in order to advance that deception in the last days. His mammon mark is the agent of worship so that everyone who takes it is said to give him worship. Both antichrist and false prophet are cast alive into the burning lake of fire. But the sword is not through. It goes on to address the rest of mankind who bowed to the mark. When Jesus said, buy a sword, He was not kidding. He understood that what we were going to face would require one. Have we bought our spiritual sword?
