Scripture: Matthew 7:1-5
One of the greatest hindrances to the Sword of the Lord is the Priestly interpretation of Scripture and the absolute refusal to let context determine meaning. Tradition has made the Word of no effect. The entire church today, when it comes to the judicial Kingly Christ and representing Him, has only a priestly mindset. Emphasizing, “…judge not, that you be not judged” cripples the church. We have taken one Scripture, repeated it over and over again and made the church afraid to make any judgments at all. That is the last thing Scripture teaches. The story of the judges is almost universal in picturing what happens when the Spirit of God comes on a judge. The Holy Spirit moved on men for the purpose of executing deliverance from evil rulers. The first step taken under the anointing of the Spirit was to judge evil. The second thing they did was blow the trumpet and rally the people for war and they overthrew the evil leaders. God is willing to overthrow evil leaders if we are willing to stand up against the evil and tell it where to go. God does not say we cannot judge. What He says is, we must stand in the fire we are calling down. We cannot judge something while doing the evil ourselves. Otherwise we are calling down judicial fire on ourselves. That is the truth of Matthew chapter 7. The Kingly Christ demands a return to sound doctrine so we can think biblically in the season in which we live and dispense His Justice!
