August 2011 Outcry

I think the key to saving the nation may be amazingly simple. One big surprise for most leaders has been the recent pattern of devastation from tornados to drought largely centered in the Bible belt when most of us felt it was much more deserved on specific states who radically promote perversion. Several leaders commented on this unusual display of God’s adversarial Hand wondering if there was a message in it for the church.

With this in mind, I ministered the ‘Layered Love of God’ in Oklahoma and Texas where there is currently devastating drought. As the meetings progressed, I prayed,

Lord, I come to you in repentance for the leadership of the church for we have failed to demonstrate to our politicians the fullness of Christ. We have not paid the price to acquaint our people with Jesus the Judge dispensing blindness as Paul did.

Please do not penalize the poor, the little ones and elderly by destroying our economy. We ask you to give us time to develop in knowing and representing the Judicial Christ so that we may demonstrate the Jesus who visited Herod to those weakening the military and legislating that which You deem perverse. It is not just to destroy a nation for the failure of its spiritual leaders when many do not know their right from their left because their knowledge of Your ways is so limited.

Have mercy on America as we stand on the Covenant of Sure Mercy asking for time to demonstrate the fullness of the living Christ.  Let it rain on the church and let it rain on this very thirsty and parched land!

After completing the meetings, when I landed at LAX, the first text message that popped up was, “It’s raining in Pampa Texas!” Since I had just been praying in Pampa, Texas, it was quite a confirmation.

Let us pray, “Lord, let the fear of God fall on our politicians and the fear of an angry electorate who will clean them out if they do not adopt a sensible economic path and laws that honor your Word.  May your fear fall as well on church leadership to teach the whole council of the Word and fully represent Jesus as both Priest and King.  Let God arise and His enemies be scattered!”
