Scripture: Acts 12:1-6

In Acts 12:1-6 we have an evil ruler terrorizing the church. He kills James and puts Peter in jail. How should the church respond to such persecution? Should we “turn-the-other-cheek”, pray for and bless the perpetrators? Or is it time to exercise the authority of a King? When Israel cried out to God their prayers were heard. God answered by killing their enemies. He has not changed. The New Testament concurs. Jesus cleaned house in the temple as a response to consummate evil. Consummate evil rules in America today in so many places that judgment is manifesting in the weather. Unfortunately adversity falls on the just and the unjust. Everyone pays for evil rulers.
