SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 4
Scripture: Exodus 40:37,38

Exodus 40:37,38 states, “But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the LORD was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.”  It is also interesting to know that the fire of God was a blessing to the covenant people.  It kept them warm at night, became a sign to their enemies and was a constant covenant manifestation that the Hand of God was with them.  Are we seeing God’s fire today?  Are we even asking?  It seems that covenant Israel grew to expect the God of fire as both a preservation and a deliverance from enemies.
