Scripture: Isaiah 55:1-3

Isaiah 55:1-3 says, “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you-The sure mercies of David.” It is obvious in Isaiah 55:1-3 that this covenant of Sure Mercy is for every believer. It is ours -we have it, we are supposed to do something with it because it is the foundation for both the Priestly and the Kingly ministries. Both ministries are rooted in the covenant of Sure Mercy. That is why it is so very, very important. Are we rooted in the covenant of Sure Mercy? Have we accepted both the Priestly and the Kingly swords? The first to redeem personal failure and the second to cut off the enemy who will not relent? We need two swords to fulfill God’s call. losing one or the other means we cannot go on until we recover it.
