Scripture: Revelation 2:1-5

In Revelation 2:1-5, Jesus is making it clear to the church of Ephesus that He is the King and He is the Judge. He is calling them to repent or else His judgment is coming. The judgment coming is spiritual death. He says, “If you do not repent I will remove your lampstand.” Translation: “I will kill your anointing. I will take everything you have. You are finished. It is over.” These are the words of a Judge. These are the words of a King. We have represented only the Priestly, Gospel of Christ. We have not balanced that out with the Judicial, Kingly Christ. The entire book of Revelation pictures Jesus ascended, seated and judging. He judges first the church, then the world. If we would welcome Jesus the Judge to the church, we could represent Him to the world.
