Scripture: 1 Samuel 3:11-13
In 1 Samuel 3:11-13, God is telling Samuel what He is going to do to Eli, “Then the Lord said to Samuel: ‘Behold, I will do something in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle. In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from beginning to end. For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them.’” Shortly after, Samuel is interrogated by Eli and has to tell him exactly what the Lord said. That had to be very uncomfortable for young Samuel. When Samuel prayed, God’s judicial Hand became visible! When we agree to be a voice against evil, then we can expect God’s creative Hand to move.
