Scripture: Micah 3:5-7

Micah 3:5-7 says, “Thus says the Lord concerning the prophets Who make my people stray; Who chant ‘Peace’ While they chew with their teeth, But who prepare war against him Who puts nothing into their mouths: ‘Therefore you shall have night without vision, And you shall have darkness without divination; The sun shall go down on the prophets, And the day shall be dark for them. So the seers shall be ashamed, And the diviners abashed; Indeed they shall all cover their lips; For there is no answer from God.’” Micah 3:5-7 is a prophecy against leaders who refuse to finish God’s school and consequently, they are prophesying, preaching or teaching mixed-seed. Pastors, prophets, teachers and preachers who speak mixed-seed qualify for the same thing. Those who refuse to deal with their own flesh, Micah says will reach a point where there is no answer from God. There is a point where God is in fact silent to them. When we are in the ministry and everything we do is based on hearing God and when God becomes silent to us, it speaks volumes. It is like working for a company and never getting any orders on what to do. We are not much of a worker at that point and would hardly qualify for a paycheck. Micah warns everyone in ministry, “Do not preach and teach what people want to hear. Because if you do, the day will come where you will not be able to discern God’s voice. You will not know it!” What a judgment!
