Scripture: Romans 1:18-20

Romans 1:18-20 makes it clear that there are divinely revealed boundaries in life, and when those boundaries are crossed it can eventually result in the destruction or removal of the people who do it. So what we read in Leviticus 20 is not just Old Testament! It is God’s character, His nature and the order of creation. Those boundaries of creation are not removed in the New Testament because of the Blood of Jesus. The New Testament actually extends them. What Jesus did will deliver us if we accept it and turn! But true repentance is demanded. The refusal to acknowledge sin and turn from it guarantees us that Jesus the Judge will rise up against us. God wants to be for us and He wants us to be for Him. But rest assured, when we choose the path of untempered mortar, we guarantee that God is obligated to stand up against us.
