Scripture: Acts 13:24-27

The generation of Old Covenant believers that Jesus came to were expecting the Judicial Christ. They were not looking for a Suffering Servant! Verse 27 makes it clear that they did not know Him nor did they recognize the voice of the prophets which were read all the time and consequently they rejected the Very One Who was sent to save them. Now that has been turned completely around. Now that we recognize Jesus the Savior, it is Jesus the Judge we need to embrace to save us. The church does not recognize the Judicial Christ because we have for the last 70 years only preached the Priestly Christ. So nearly everyone in Christianity is in “turn-the-other-cheek” mode which enables evil and Jesus was far from enabling evil. It is time we got to know the fullness of Who our Savior really is! He is Judge!
