MONDAY, AUGUST 26
Scripture: Luke 23:34, Acts 7:50-60

In many ways, the church today is like the early church in that we are spring-loaded in one direction, to the exclusion of the other. We are spring-loaded Priestly. Because we are spring-loaded Priestly, we are forgiving, forgiving, forgiving, forgiving, forgiving. Jesus forgave on the Cross. Stephen forgave as he was being stoned. And these are consistently held out as our examples. They are held out as the way to face evil in every situation. The entire church is effectively spring-loaded Priestly. The problem is we now more identify with the church of 2,000 years ago than we do with the church in the book of Revelation. There is a spiritual shift between when the church was first initiated and the church in Revelation pressing for the end-time harvest. The shift is in what is necessary and essential to bring in God’s intended harvest. In the days of the early church, often “turn-the-other-cheek” and “do-not-resist” was what was necessary and required for the harvest. But when you read the book of Revelation, there has been a major shift that is undeniable. And the problem is we have not shifted with the Lord. That has to change. We must shift with the Spirit! Judicial prayer is essential for the last days!
