Scripture: Revelation 6:9-11
The Lord asked me one time, if there was any change between what the intercessors prayed at the beginning of the church age and what the intercessors pray at the end of the church age. I said, “Lord, I don’t know.” He said, “Find out!” So I found that at the end of the church age in Revelation 6, there is a shift in what they are praying in Heaven. Verses 9,10 state, “When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, ‘How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?’ What the church is asking for right now is judgment. The martyrs are praying justice. So what Jesus declared, “…I have put my Spirit upon Him, He will bring forth mish-pawt/justice to the Gentiles…” is here! That is for here and that is for now! That is the end-of-the-age church in action! Staying priestly forfeits the end-time harvest. The martyrs in Revelation 6 are not praying for mercy. They are demanding Kingly justice, “…avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth”! That is a Spirit-led demand. In the imperative there is no getting around it. But why should we want to get around it? I am concerned that it is because it is easier and more comfortable to continue praying according to tradition. We need to pray judicially!
