Scripture: Mark 10:43

In Mark 10:43, Jesus drew a definite comparison between how the world operates and how His leaders in the church should operate. He said over the issue of Koo-ree-os and ex-oo-see-ah in verse 43, “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.” We are warned against the temptation of taking the Kingly or governmental anointing and using it to build our own kingdom. Jesus made it clear that to do so was a chief violation of the integrity and character of the Living Christ. The inference is, that violation would cost us eternally. Jesus made it clear that if we are going to walk with Him, we must be willing to serve with humble hearts.
