Scripture: 1 Samuel 15:21
1 Samuel 15:21 says, “But the people took of the plunder, sheep and oxen, the best of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the Lord your God in Gilgal.” Saul’s self-will is obvious in the lack of restraint of his army as they took everything they could carry away. God said to destroy them all, Saul refused and the people ended up manifesting Saul’s rebellion. Is it any wonder that God was intent on removing him?
