Scripture: 1 Samuel 15:24-26

The first thing Saul lost was his office. The next thing he lost was his call. His office was to be king. His call was to be King over Israel. And that is the phrase that is added in verse 26. 1 Samuel 15:24-26 says, “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.” Once his call was gone, it was a very short slide to losing the remainder of what he had. A failure to pray judicially when it is warranted can be very, very costly. Failing to go judicial fully qualifies us as a Saul. It only takes one David to gain a harvest, even when being chased by Saul and his men!
